We're delighted to announce the release of Flipidea 3.0.8, which includes feature releases, new updates and issues fixes.

New

• Data (31,781 inactive companies): collection updated.

  • Currently, we've only summarised the postmortem reports (reasons for shutdown) for 1,000 shuttered companies

    • Flipper our AI bot is in training to do this by himself

  • Although the 30,781 inactive companies are currently used for our idea validation and competitive landscape features but we'll make them available for viewing in the coming weeks

• Data (48,613 active companies): collection updated.

  • Active companies are only shown under our companies' competition attribute (direct competitors and similar companies) and are also used for our idea validation and competitive landscape features

• Venture intelligence (co-investors analysis): we fixed our graph analytics feature for you to identify 'who the investors commonly co-invest with?'

  • Due to the large amount of companies, some queries may take 1-2 minutes to load

  • Collectively, 995 investors (with funding rounds data) made a total of 16,650 investments, out of which were the same 2,154 unique companies, across the very-early stage, early stage, growth stage, and late stage

  • Out of the 995 investors, the co-investments were co-led by 811 unique co-investors within their networks

  • Period of investments made: June 1983 to September 2020

• Shuttered companies: we froze the logo column for ease of reference.

  • For horizontal scroll, hold shift button while scrolling with mouse

• UI/UX fixes: we made some minor improvements for better experiences.
